Largest Public Compensation and Benefits Consulting Organization Experiences Dramatic Results with Fortis
|
With over 70 offices nationwide, Clark
Consulting (Clark) provides integrated compensation, benefits
and organizational development solutions to over 3,900
U.S. corporations, banks, and healthcare organizations.
Clark Consulting is the largest public company of its kind.
Clark
originally had a microfiche system and then moved
to document management software, but it was
outdated and did not offer enough features and flexibility.
Retrieval and printing were slow, remote retrieval was
non-existent and the software did not have electronic import
capabilities. Additionally, there was no integration potential
with Clark’s proprietary software and the Company
grappled with major NASD, SCC, Sarbanes-Oxley and broker/dealer
compliancy issues.
Westbrook Partner Imaging Path presented
Fortis as the solution. Clark was immediately impressed
by Fortis’ SQL
database structure, electronic importing and remote retrieval
capabilities and rich features such as annotations. In
addition, the Company saw huge potential with the software’s
application and database integration abilities.
Annette Braaten and Lisa Bierwagen of
Clark spearheaded the implementation of Fortis, and results
were immediate. Fortis enabled two departments to go nearly
100% paperless, and Fortis Office has allowed the Company
to easily import client emails that were previously stored
on individual computers.

“We now receive electronic

a two-week process to a 20-minute process and the Data
Entry Assistant feature has dramatically cut down indexing
time. Additionally, IT has successfully tied our production
database to the Fortis database to keep index values updated
and synchronized.” |
Because of the
success Clark experienced with Fortis, future plans are already
underway to expand
the software’s use. Lisa continued, “We plan
to utilize barcodes to improve scanning efficiency, implement
Power Web for remote retrieval/input and further integrate
Fortis with our proprietary software and in other departments.
Overall, we see a lifetime of Fortis at Clark Consulting.”
