File Magic Users enter into the world of Fortis SE

Branford, CONN. – March, 2006 – To all File Magic document management software customers! We would like to take this opportunity to reveal an exciting new product change for 2006. As we continue to “change with speed,” we are pleased to announce that we will be offering our File Magic customers, who are currently supported, the additional capabilities of Fortis SE so they can further maximize their document management initiatives –at no additional license charge! This is our way of thanking you for your continued support and dedication.

The new opportunity for File Magic users to enter into the more efficient and expandable world of Fortis SE (small enterprise document management software) is HERE! It has been noticeable over the past few years that as we continue to develop Fortis, the options and new capabilities of File Magic have been very limited and minimal. Fortis ERM (Electronic Report Management), PowerWeb, (extends the reach of Fortis document management software to a Web browser interface), ApproveIt, (electronic document authorization process), Inflo (document management work flow) and EnableIt (makes business critical documents and information easily accessible), have revolutionized the organizations of Fortis users around the globe. Yet, File Magic users have been unable to experience these fantastic options, because of the basic nature of the LAN based design of FileMagic™.

In 1997, Fortis originated because document management users were looking for a WAN-based, enterprise solution that was expandable and brought with it a host of other business necessities like web-enablement, workflow and more.

In 2003, we introduced Fortis SE, the onramp for SMB (small to medium business) who outgrew their File Magic installations and wanted to step up into the full range capabilities of Fortis. Thus was born the ”small enterprise” or “special edition” of Fortis, good naturedly referred to as a “Rolls-Royce” solution at a “mini-cooper” price.

Now in 2006, we have answered the call of our user’s needs once again with a fantastic opportunity! Knowing that we have a large installed base of successful File Magic customers, we want these customers to benefit from the investments they have made in software support dollars by having access to all the capabilities that our market demands. With this in mind, we have decided to transition all of our File Magic customers to Fortis SE.

Westbrook will provide a “like-for-like” licensing upgrade at NO LICENSE COST for any currently supported File Magic customers to Fortis SE. If you are curious on the capabilities we invite you to view either the recorded Webcast on the “benefits of Fortis” or our Fortis narrated demonstration. In addition, your Westbrook reseller or Partner can answer all of your questions regarding this migration special.

Beginning March 1, 2006 and through the year, ending March 1, 2007, current File Magic customers, who are active in our software support program, will now be able to migrate to Fortis SE. By having one product with multiple options for both small and large user communities, we are making things easier for you as we offer more value for your investment.

Additionally, you will be able to take advantage of options included in your upgrade to Fortis SE, such as;

Fortis Office™ Fortis Office provides a direct connection to Fortis from inside the most widely used office automation suite, Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The Office concept allows direct capture of documents—pushing—rather than importing. Appearing as an “icon” on the toolbar Office provides a path for documents to be sent directly to an in basket or to be directly committed to a folder and document type within the database.
