Fortis Release Script for Ascent Capture
Fortis Release Script for Ascent Capture lets you combine the capturing ability of Kofax Ascent Capture with the comprehensive document management capabilities of Fortis. This integration allows organizations to use Fortis exclusively as the document management system while handling all capture aspects with Ascent Capture. Indirectly, this integration allows Fortis to leverage all the benefits of Ascent Capture, namely mark-sense recognition, ICR, auto-polling, enhanced bar code recognition, VirtualReScan, TWAIN scanning, network scanning and much more. Currently the Release Script supports up to Ascent Capture version 7.5.

Fortis Document Alert!
Document Alert! is an electronic notification system that provides both visual and audio alerts any time a document is scanned, faxed, forwarded, or imported into a user's Fortis In Basket. The feature is neatly displayed as a desktop icon in the Windows tray and provides a shortcut to launch Fortis from the desktop to view documents.

Fortis Data Entry Assistant
Make indexing and updating Fortis documents easier with Data Entry Assistant (DEA). Most likely, you have information stored in a database that you would like to import into a Fortis database. The thought of retyping all that data is overwhelming! With Data Entry Assistant indexing or updating documents can be done with a few clicks or keystrokes. Fortis Update Assistant
Many organizations have data stored in an application or database that can easily be exported to an ASCII file. With the Update Assistant option, Fortis can use this ASCII file to reduce time and labor when indexing documents or when they need to update index data and/or add and replace pages in their existing documents. Fortis Quick Find
QuickFind is a document retrieval utility that allows the user to launch a Query from an icon on the desktop. The QuickFind user does not see the Fortis application running. The search is launched behind the scenes and the documents are located and displayed on-screen in a special Fortis viewer. Because the Query is run directly from the desktop without requiring the user to open Fortis, the need for Fortis user training is minimized.

Fortis Audit Trail
This option can be set up so that Fortis tracks a variety of user activities on documents in the database. Fortis performs activity logging on a function-by-function basis and the database administrator can select exactly which functions to track in the Audit Log. The Audit Trail option is disabled by default; the database administrator must specifically turn it on to commence logging.

Fortis LDAP
Fortis supports authentication and synchronization with any directory service that supports Light-weight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). The LDAP Support option also lets the system administrator synchronize Fortis Groups with groups existing on the LDAP server. Synchronization can only occur when using LDAP groups as your Fortis Groups (i.e., the option to use LDAP groups has been selected and LDAP group names match Fortis Group names). Synchronization uses information obtained from the LDAP server to ensure appropriate group membership in Fortis.

Fortis Planet
Fortis Planet is the connector that allows the import of Objectif Lune's Planet Watch version 5 or 6 PDI output type. Fortis Planet will poll a predefined file system directory on a schedule for import into Fortis. The PDI file will contain all metadata associated with the image output from Planet Image either in TIFF or PDF format.
