Classroom Requirements for On-Site Education

Westbrook Technologies is committed to meeting the educational needs of all our Business Partners and customers. This is why our state-of-the-art education facility is fully equipped with all the latest technology to provide for the needs of our students and guarantee an effective learning experience. To conduct education at your facility, a set of minimum guidelines must be met in order to ensure the same quality of learning experience for the students.

All Courses Require:

• Your commitment to excellence. A quality education for your employees will be extremely valuable to your organization. We request that any disruptions to the class or any of the students be kept to an absolute minimum. Cellular phones and pagers should not be brought to class. Only those students who are deemed mission critical may carry phones or pagers and then only in a silent mode such as "vibrate" and should only be used for emergencies.
• A computer for each student that is connected to a Windows network via TCP/IP. The students must have administrative rights to their computer for purposes of installing the software used in class. The computers used by the students may require access to the Internet for certain activities such as student registration, a browse of resources such as the Westbrook Technologies website and for taking a web-based exam if the course requires it. Other than the access mentioned above, the classroom network should be as isolated as possible from the rest of the facility. There should be no access to e-mail or other systems except during break periods.
• A whiteboard: this should be available for the instructor to diagram any complex topics or configurations. It is requested that the whiteboard be a minimum of 48" x 48" in size.
• A projector: this may be used, at the instructor's discretion, to demonstrate product features and functions.

All computers and servers used in class should meet Westbrook Technologies' recommended minimum system specifications. The most up-to-date specifications can be found at: http://www.westbrooktech.com/software_solutions/fortis.html

Note: With the exception of the Sales Education and Advanced Sales Education courses, it is requested that laptop computers not be used in place of workstations.

Any course that will involve installing and working with a networked version of Fortis, installation guidelines must be followed. This will mean a separate database server and shared-client server must exist on the network, each meeting the minimum specifications mentioned above.
